Brandy at the beach

We took a trip home to visit mom and dad over Labor Day weekend. Since we had some free time, we decided to go to Topsail Island and take some pictures. Here's Brandy with her new bathing suit.

Eclipse

There was a lunar eclipse early this morning, and Brandy and I were lucky enough to catch it. I actually didn't know there was going to be an eclipse. Earlier in the night I saw a headline on Yahoo! news that mentioned an eclipse, but I paid no attention to it. While driving down the road this morning, though, I noticed that the full moon didn't look quite so full. So, when we got home I broke out the camera and we ran around the apartment complex until we could get a decent view. Here are the pictures.

The first one was taken at 5:37 AM. The last one was taken at 5:44 AM. From the pictures, you can see how fast the Earth was eclipsing the moon.

More zoo

Here are a few more pictures from Monday's trip to the zoo. They are: an elk, a meerkat, an elephant and some type of monkey (no, that's not a monkey in the picture with the elephant!). I'll let you figure out which is which.

NC Zoo

Brandy and I went to the NC Zoo in Asheboro on Monday morning. I took a ton of pictures, but there are just too many to go trhough all of them now. I will post more later. I think these are all self-explanatory.

Good shows

We've had a string of really good shows at The Brewery. Not only have they been good shows, but they've been BIG shows. I think we had four or five sold out shows in the past 10 days. The good thing about that is that I bring in extra staff to work. More people on the floor means more time for me to work in the office... or play in the office. Here are a couple of shots from in the office. Note: The picture quality is not as high as normal; I'm using a new camera phone.

I talked to my friend (and ex) a couple of days ago on web cam. She's now living in GA, is married, has a daughter (Kaiya) and a son on the way! I won't show you the picture of her pregnant belly - she might kick my butt! But, here she is with Kaiya.

This is a year old, but I thought I would post it. I haven't posted enough lately, so you get this stuff. This ran last year in the "Independent Weekly," a tabloid sized magazine in the triangle area. The other one is three years old and ran before I re-opened The Brewery. We were almost doomed because we were labeled as a "metal club."

Winston Salem

I am just getting around to posting this picture. No big loss; it's pretty boring. I went to Winston Salem a couple of weeks ago so Brandy could meet her friend Sarah Dope. I wasn't into the band that was playing at Ziggy's, so I went back to the hotel and watched the Spurs in the playoffs. I stopped by Food Lion first, though. =)

Day off

Brandy and I had the day off today. Actually, we have three days off in a row, thanks to a few cancellations at the club. Cancellations always suck, but I think the entire staff could all use the days off.

Since we had some time to do stuff today, I decided to get the car washed. We got to check out a cool 1964 Chevy Impala and hang out under a gazebo and enjoy the nice weather while we waited. My dad used to have a '64 Impala, so it was very cool to see one again.

Most nights before I go to bed, I try to read a little. I really like John Grisham and James Patterson. I dig court room dramas and murder mystery type books. Brandy sometimes reads, too. Here she is... in bed... looking at Playboy. She swears she buys it "for the articles."

It may sound a little weird, but I decided to post about my visit to see my dad on Wednesday. He had a heart attack, so he is in the hospital at Wake Med in Raleigh. I normally go to work, and come back home. So, since I don't normally go to Wake Med, I decided to document the trip.

For anyone who thinks this may be in bad taste: Blow me. I love my dad.

I don't watch much television, but this is one of my guilty pleasures: The Real World.

This is Brooke. She's completely neurotic, suffers from anxiety and depression and freaks out at the drop of a hat.

This is Jenn. She's what you call a "bear with wide canyon." Okay, she's a ho. She hooked up with Alex the night after Colie did. A few episodes later, she brought home the bouncer from a local bar for a serving of oral pleasure. She's hot. And a ho. But a hot ho.

This is Colie. She hooked up with Alex (another cast member) on the first episode. Yeah, she's a slut. She currently has mono. How did that happen?
